Are you not generally happy because the only happiness you get comes from external circumstances and you don’t know why? There is more to the meaning of life than just peace or comfort but you are still unaware of life’s real meaning; most people are searching for happiness everywhere except within themselves where true happiness bubbles up from the base of the spine. What does that really mean?
You could be looking half of your lifetime for happiness excepting to find some external circumstances to bring you peace and joy. For the spiritually underdeveloped, pursuing to acquire useless desires instead of your real needs is not the way. Happiness does not work that way; it springs forth from the base of the spine and trickles upward to the brain when you are in tune. You don’t have to wait for external circumstances to make you happy.
If you can grasp the above it can change your whole outlook on life. However this path is for stark souls who have had enough of dragging their feet and are willing and dedicated to gradually give more and more to transform themselves to get in tune. This is the quality you want to attain. The more you meditate in a calm state the more in tune you will be no matter how spiritual you are. You may be still a child in you spiritual realization so you must meditate more and go much deeper. If you don’t have the time or you can’t make the time to meditate longer than double your intensity and you can still get some results. Remember having the right attitude is 95% and practice is only 5%. This is not an excuse to cut back on your time in the chair. God looks at those who lose sleep to meditate as heroes. From the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda.
