You have individual and mass karma from this. Mass karmic effects are becoming more increasingly visible with major destruction. Most people feel we are helpless puppets from the world environment. What is the mass karma from the world now? Everyone is subject to mass karma as well as individual karma. Your individual karma can’t avoid mass karma unless you make a deep spiritual effort and only then you may be spared. These are words of warning for people who become complacent and assume themselves as rightfully virtuous and secure. They so far have not had the misfortune visited upon others. Every person by their actions and thoughts becomes the designer of their destiny.
Unfortunately due to the diseased state of this planet our planet appears like a patient coming down with a great disease. The symptoms are everywhere with the global environmental degradation that increases dramatically on a yearly basis. The Earth as an organism has clear signs of disease with its soil, waters, air, and ecosystems contaminated or compromised. Anyone trained in any natural system of medicine cannot ignore these obvious symptoms of an organism that is disrupted.
The signs of energy imbalance, toxicity, and growth of unhealthy tissues are easy to recognize in our civilization. And yet we are continuing the destructive activities that only insure such a pathogenesis will occur on our planet. We ignore the disease systems because time moves slower at a collective level than a the individual level in which we personally live. Like a patient in the early stages of a disease, we can still deny that the disease is happening to us or that we have caused it.
Each aspect of nature is like an organ of the Earth’s body. The soils are like the skin of the Earth. The rocks and mountains are like her bones. The rivers and ocean are her blood and vital fluids. The plants are like her lungs and the animals are like her heart. We humans should serve as the nerve tissue of the Earth and as her brain. This body of nature is suffering on all levels from the excesses of our civilization. Can we survive as a species if our world body is damaged or dismembered?
The ancients worshiped the Earth as our mother, recognizing an organic connection between themselves and the planet. In India, the Earth was honored as a Divine Cow dispensing bounty to all her creatures that are like her calves. Earth’s an organism, also originally meant a cow.
We human beings are meant to milk nature and the Earth like a cow to cultivate and protect her with love and respect skimming off her abundance, not reducing her to scarcity. Unfortunately, today it seems that we are trying to slaughter her instead.
Though our natural resources continue to diminish from our over-consumption, we as yet have no long-term plan to protect them. Each ecosystem as a part of a Divine nature has its own soul, its own spirits, gods and goddesses. When we destroy plants, animals, and ecosystems we are also removing the Divine forces that they carry from the Earth. We are casting out the gods from our world, which means that we are creating a space for ungodly forces to take root and make their home.
A new ecology is needed to heal the planet, a sacred or “yogic ecology” that honors the consciousness both in nature and in ourselves. To discover this unitary essence, it is not enough to work to save various habitats and ecosystems, however important that is. It requires honoring the Divine forces behind nature and opening up to them at the level of the heart. It requires sacred action what one could call ritual, both externally and internally to restore our organic connection to all life. Teachings of SRF Dr. D.Frawley
