Is the enemy our corrupt politicians in our government, fake news or keeping the wolf away from the door with the high cost of living, no it’s not. Your real enemy is right within you. The subconscious mind that operates without your permission is the enemy within. You have three minds, two of them constantly create karma where the third is trying to liberate you. The conscious and subconscious minds are the ones that bind you and are the enemy that forces you to reincarnate, this is where all bad habits are stored and these very troubles magnetically sprung up from the subconscious mind and are from your own uncontrolled thought processes and unconscious feelings bringing most of the troubles in your life. It compels you to act against your will and fall prey to the enticement of the senses. You drink, you smoke, you eat unhealthy or overeat with the greed for food. There is a remedy.
So long as our minds are tossed about at the mercy of strong body attachments and slavery to baser passions one cannot concentrate deeply enough to pass the ordinary awareness into the natural joy of the soul, that is not until you have got control of your subconscious mind being so purified and reinforced by ceaselessly impregnating your daily mind with positive thoughts.
All your negative ideas spring forth from your subconscious mind which endlessly lies to you . The moment you are in a negative state say to yourself “the subconscious mind is now trying to control me with negative ideas.” If you can control those negative ideas you are on the way to control the subconscious mind. Therefore Yama Niyama consists of removing all negative attributes in life, everything which is destructive; the master doesn’t make it simple, he says anything which stands between your soul and God is evil.
Both virtue and vice require activity. You may be a very moral person but gradually through the influence of the company you keep you can trigger some of your latent personalities in your subconscious mind which were not so strong and consequently you may fall again. Neuroscientists uncovered that when we are with a group of people they begin to alter our psycho neuro-bio-chemistry in the neurons of our brain. They have now zeroed in on what is actually happening. This is why we must be more cautious with whom we meet.
Not only do you have three brains you also have three voices two of them emanate human intelligence which endlessly lies to you. Your third voice is your conscience God’s cosmic intelligence vibrating through you. You listen to it through your intuition. Each time you interfere with your conscience and not listen that voice inside yourself you are back into ego consciousness. Just think about all the mistakes you have made listening to those two other voices.
For the mass consciousness of people everything is already pre-programmed and pre-written. There are millions of people on this earth who keep bringing unconsciously upon themselves all kinds of unpleasant incidents, and invite disaster or failure by the power of their own thoughts and set feelings, and they ignorantly blame some imaginary external factor, such as fate or destiny. However when the few realize that these very troubles have magnetically sprung from their subconscious mind and are from their own uncontrolled thought processes and unconscious feelings bringing most of the troubles in their life they try to make changes.
One of the worst shafts of maya (illusion) is the unwillingness to meditate. Meditating reawakens your God given intelligence as your conscience and when you use your conscience you bypass all karmic influence from the subconscious mind because the subconscious is connected with your higher self. Each time you listen to your ego you go down, each time you listen to your soul intuition you go forward. Quite simple isn’t it. Reread this paragraph until you get it.
That “unwillingness” is a veil over man’s eyes which prevents the attunement with God, but deep within you is a third mind, the super conscious mind. The super conscious mind is the intuition and power of the soul which defends to roast the seeds of bad habits and will dissolve the traits of the two other minds which bind your soul to the laws of cause and effect. Our lack of discrimination is what causes us so much trouble. There is resistance from your lunatic subconscious mind the moment you try to rid yourself of bad habits and accomplish something.
There is resistance from the earth when a plant emerges from a seed, the insects and bugs go after it, and the weeds choke it and compete for its water and nourishment. The only protection for it is the gardener. It is also true for humans because of inner weaknesses and unfavorable circumstances we have not the power to give forth the branches of achievement on the tree trunk of life. Because bad karma and the weeds of our terrible habits that are stifling and choking our ground, we need the help of a guru. The guru gives you the techniques of meditation for burning off bad weed habits so you can resist these habit enemies. Then after you have advanced, the guru gives you the advanced technique of burning off bad karma.
God Himself has structured the universal laws of harmony leading us to everything which is good, He also created the opposite force of a cosmic intelligence as an evil conscious cosmic organized force, that is the power of attraction and the power of repulsion.
