Jesus wasn’t the only Master who spoke in parables I will explain. Why do you think Jesus spoke in parables? His disciples asked him why and he said, “You are advanced in spiritual thought and receptive and the enlarged cup of your comprehension can grasp the oceanic expositions of truth from my own realizations. But the ordinary people ill-equipped in their reception are unable to practice or comprehend the truth of deeper wisdom. They glean from the parables the simpler truths according to their understanding.”
Those souls who are lacking mental, physical and spiritual development and who are totally identified with their physical bodies cannot comprehend the revelations about the states of heaven, for lack of understanding those people scorn that sacred knowledge of wholly discovered truth. Jesus spoke in parables to protect the essence of truth with the covering of esoteric illustrations and mystic terms.
Paramahansa Yogananda also at times used esoteric illustrations in his music to convey a message on enlightenment. When this happens to someone he is then all knowing and all-wise. The master wrote a song which conceals the meaning to the unknowing theory-fed, theology-blinded, belief-submerged brothers and sisters but inspires those who know how a soul becomes enlightened and goes into ecstasy. The song Paramahansa Yogananda’s Cosmic Chant is “Who Is In My Temple?” Only those who are in a higher state of consciousness can fully explain the meaning of the song. This song describes the blessed day when you and I will have regained our cosmic consciousness.
Paramahansa Yogananda says “one day in meditation a huge cosmic flash of light will enter into you and at that moment reactivate the thirty thousand billion brains, not cells but brains in your body and you will have regained cosmic consciousness” and during the song you are singing “Who Is In My Temple” the moment you and I will realize who is within you ‘ all the doors will open themselves’ means all the inner spheres of consciousness called the chakras will open up one by one and at that moment ‘all the lights will light themselves’ all the lights will balance themselves.
There is nothing more absurd when you hear people telling you they can balance your chakras. To balance your chakras you have to have great cosmic energy at the base of the spine to raise the kundalini upward, that great force takes you into ecstasy. The moment you balance your chakras you instantly go into ecstasy so in the song “all the doors do open themselves, all the lights do light themselves all darkness, the accumulated karma of countless incarnations in our subconscious mind is destroyed in one second by that cosmic light, darkness like a dark bird flies away flies away.” We are all cosmic beings and the scriptures say no one can ascend into heaven unless he first came down from heaven therefore all of us originated from cosmic consciousness through incarnations of preparations of the body to receive that final touch of immortality.
For those of you who do not meditate reading this may satisfy your curiosity but will have no effect and will not be absorbed. But you should know that during this period of psychological curiosity you should investigate thoroughly as God sends curious individuals just ordinary teachers for addressing the awakening of souls via spiritual books and so on and that is why the most mediocre and worst teachers of yoga meditation have their purpose. However those individuals who are determined to reach their spiritual goal will attract an illumined soul, a guru or spiritual master until liberation is reached.
Those who do meditate and are on the path must be cautious about encouraging or persuading people to study the teaching of the masters when they are not ready. When a soul is ready the master appears in some form to prepare them by having someone offering them a book or recommends a teacher to awaken them but when the desire is strong enough and they want to emancipate their “self” God will send a guru. Take this message form this sacred song; if you don’t meditate there is no chance. This unwillingness to meditate is a veil over man’s eyes which prevent him to attune himself with God and therefore he or she misses the opportunity to find a true spiritual master and the true goal of life. From the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda.
