Why are so many prayers for material success not answered? Read on. But, there is always a but. When you pray for material success ( here is the but) if you entertain any thoughts of failure or possible failure, it is the same as sending your trusted someone on an errand only to have that someone stopped and attacked by bandits and your prayer is wasted on failure. You have sent your trusted prayer children to the Lord without any protection and were waylaid by robbers of your chronic bad habits of doubt before your unprotected prayer-children could reach God. Of course God is everywhere and hears you prayers; but under these circumstances He will not answer these prayers under the conditions you have asked for.
For if you pray from your mind and your prayers are not heartfelt, you are doing a little better than wasting your time. Your mind is like a radio and if the antenna of your mind is weak your radio frequency will never reach God, but the heart is a different story because the heart has no boundaries or limitations. When the microphone of your mind has been muffled or broken down by the sledge-hammer of the boisterous passions of restlessness, it takes deep silence to repair your broadcasting instrument.
When the human mental microphone is out of order it will not work the wonder of telepathy. Calm yourself with deep meditation and when your mental microphone is repaired, rebroadcast your loving prayer from your heart not from your mind. If you feel a joyous expanding thrill in your heart and entire body after each day of meditation you will have received the proof that God has heard the radio microphone of your heart and mind and you will know you got through to Him.
Knowing how to pray from the heart. Parroting up prayers is a meager physical practice with no actual thought about Him. These prayers are no better than teaching a parrot to repeat the name of God. If you love someone, would you tell them “I love you” via a recording? Using talkative, blind repetitious prayers will not get the response hoped for, yet God will not remain distant to the one that prays sincerely with faith without giving up.
Its true that praying for material success is one of the most difficult type of answered prayers. When you pray for material success there are caveats, one is the prayer must be righteous. What is a righteous prayer? If you need to pay your rent or mortgage when you can’t, doctor bills, to put food on the table, to keep the lights on or to keep the wolf away from the door.
